Oestrogen metabolism is a serious, fast-growing problem. Increasing exposure to xeno-estrogens increases the strain on our endocrine systems, meaning that they don’t work as effectively as they should. Excess oestrogen can lead to polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), which 1 in 5 women are now thought to suffer from, as well as endometriosis and fibroids. Dietary interventions to support optimal oestrogen clearance is essential to easing the discomfort of symptoms associated with oestrogen imbalances. Sarah will examine the use of DIM for oestrogen metabolism, supporting the liver to assist with hormone balance and metabolism and antioxidants to support metabolic clearing.
