Number 14. For Professional Use Only
Dyspepsia is a term which encompasses a group of symptoms that come from a problem in your upper gastrointestinal tract, and causes include duodenal ulcer, stomach ulcer, oesophagitis (inflamed oesophagus), and gastritis (inflamed stomach). If no known cause can be found, if there are no clinically identifiable, structural gastrointestinal lesions, it is known as functional dyspepsia, or non-ulcer dyspepsia.
