Key Nutrients to Support Blood Sugar Balance

Alpha Lipoic Acid – A highly effective natural antioxidant with direct antioxidant activity and an ability to regenerate other antioxidants such as glutathione, vitamin E and vitamin C.  In a recent trial, oral supplementation with alpha lipoic acid was shown to improve insulin sensitivity in patients with Type 2 Diabetes.

Cinnamon – This culinary spice has a long history of traditional use in supporting blood sugar balance.  In a 2012 trial, cinnamon demonstrated positive effects on glycaemic status, lipid profiles and body composition in patients with Type 2 Diabetes.
