Getting into the habit of juicing fruits and vegetables is a great way to dramatically increase your intake of the multitude of beneficial compounds found in fruits and vegetables. Yet another new study by researchers in Denmark has found that eating fruit and vegetables significantly improves your long-term health.

Here's a few simple juice recipes to get your started; however you really don't need to stick to formal recipes - once you're a bit more familiar with the process you can just experiment with whatever you have in the fridge. Use organic wherever possible. Happy Juicing!

Super Green Juice
1 x cucumber
1/2 bunch spinach
1/2 cos lettuce
1 x green apple
Small handful fresh flat-leaf parsley
1 lemon or lime peeled
1 small sprig fresh mint

Wash all ingredients. Core the apple. Put all the ingredients through a juicer. Serve. Enjoy!

Carrot, Apple and Ginger Juice
5 x carrots (peeled)
2 x Pink Lady apples
1 inch piece of ginger (peeled)
1/2 lemon seeded & skin removed

Wash all ingredients. Core the apples. Put all the ingredients through a juicer. Serve. Enjoy!

Beetroot and Ginger Juice
1 medium orange, peeled, seeded and quartered
3 kale leaves
1 medium apple (cored and cut into wedges)
1 medium carrot (peeled)
1 large beet, peeled and cut into wedges
1 inch piece of peeled fresh ginger

Wash all ingredients. Put all the ingredients through a juicer. Serve. Enjoy!
